Stuart E. Barker III

With over a decade of experience rooted in environmental biology and professional arboriculture, Stuart E. Barker III is a highly respected ISA Board Certified Master Arborist (#RM-8130B) known for his deep knowledge of tree health, risk assessment, and sustainable landscape management. Currently serving as a Client Arborist at Kolcun Tree Care in Bluffton, South Carolina, Stuart brings a comprehensive approach to tree care—blending science-based solutions with strong client relationships and ethical service.

Stuart’s career began in academia, earning both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Biology from Georgia Southern University, where his research focused on sustainable agroforestry practices and soil nutrient dynamics in coffee production systems. His hands-on fieldwork in Costa Rica and Georgia laid the foundation for his science-first approach to plant health and ecosystem management.

Since 2017, Stuart has advanced through a variety of arboricultural roles, including Plant Health Care Technician and Climber Trainee. He has extensive experience in integrated pest management (IPM), hazardous tree removal, ANSI-standard pruning, and training teams in safety best practices. As a certified Treecare Safety Professional and CDA Qualified Supervisor (#34986), Stuart is committed to high safety standards and ongoing industry education.

Stuart’s work is defined by a strong commitment to customer service, clear communication, and collaborative team leadership. Whether creating long-term tree management plans or addressing urgent tree health concerns, he consistently delivers thoughtful, data-driven recommendations that enhance landscapes and protect property.
